Plant resources in Xueshan Mountain

The area of the nine peaks has nearly 655 species of plants under 123 families and 415 genera. It has the most abundant plant resources in Shanghai.

Xueshan Mountain: Robinia pseudoacacia L.(Celtis sinensis)-Rubus hirsutus Thunb(Cyperus alternifolius)-Carex tristachya-Trachelospermum jasminoides colony: The arborous layer is dominated by Robinia pseudoacacia L. and Celtis sinensis, accompanied by Symplocos paniculata, Cinnamomum camphora, Aphananthe aspera Planch., Ligustrum lucidum, Zanthoxylum bungeanum and Vernicia fordii.

The shrub layer is dominated by Rubus hirsutus Thunb and Cyperus alternifolius, accompanied by Ilex cornuta Lindl., Rosa multiflora Thunb., Rubus lambertianus Ser., E.pungens, Ligustrum sinense Lour., Rhamnus globosa, Lycium chinense Miller, Rosa laevigata Michx., Euonymus alatus and other shrub species.

In the shrub layer, there are also many arbor species, such as: Aphananthe aspera Planch., Zelkova serrata, Broussonetia papyrifera, Symplocos paniculata, Cinnamomum camphora, Dalbergia hupeana Hance, Quercus fabri Hance and Cudrania tricuspidata.

The herbaceous layer is dominated by Carex tristachya, accompanied by Pteridium aquilinum, Rubia cordifolia Linn., Semiaguilegia adoxoides, Lygodium japonicum, Herba Lophatheri, Paederia scandens and Polygonum hydropiper. Interlayer plants are dominated by Trachelospermum jasminoides, accompanied by Ficus pumila and Wisteria sinensis.
