Petal power propels tourists traveling during the spring season. Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Songjiang district, Shanghai is blooming, and is luring a growing number of people to its parks and scenic spots to enjoy the full blast of the fireworks of flowers.

Chuhanying or Prunus campanulata at Cherry Valley in Chenshan Botanical Garden is one of the varieties that bloom in early spring. It had entered its initial flowering stage by the end of February and now offers a pink-covered early spring wonderland.

The famed cherry boulevard at Chenshan Botanical Garden is a scenic spot you cannot miss if you want to catch the beauty of cherries. It has been showcased on China Central Television (CCTV).

Sheshan Notional Forest Park is also a good choice for visitors wishing to soak in the beauty of spring. The bamboo forest is like the sea, lush and green and so refreshing to people after a day’s boring work. Plum blossoms nearly carpeting the whole mountain is a spectacular sight.

Plums at Guanfulin Relic Park are also in full bloom. The antique bridges, towers and pavilions are dotted with bright color. With a breeze blowing, flowers give off a hint of fragrance.
