Shanghai Sheshan Tourist Resort in Songjiang district was awarded the title of Sports Tourism Boutique Destination at the China Sport Tourism Expo held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on Dec 11.

The expo featuring six sub-exhibition areas and a series of forums provided participants with a professional Chinese sports and culture experience.

Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Songjiang district is making efforts to promote sports activities that support the balanced development of its tourism industry.

The resort has launched its first aviation flight carnival at Moon Lake Sculpture Park on Sept 15, offering local residents a chance to enjoy a spectacular flying show.

Sheshan has also developed a wide variety of sports activities, and has attracted some leading international events.

At the 2018 World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions, some of the world's top golfers gathered in fierce competition from Nov 25 to 29.

The resort is also keen to expand its sports activities so as to attract more ordinary people to Sheshan.

On Oct 17, thousands of seniors participated in a mountain climbing activity in the Sheshan National Forest Park to celebrate the Double Ninth Festival, which is known as a festival for the elderly in traditional Chinese culture.
