On the cliff of the southern peak of East Sheshan, there is a pavilion built on the original site of Baishishan House in memory of Chen Jiru, the famous painter and writer in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
It is located in the middle section of the 368-step footpath. The pavilion offers a shed from rain and sun and serves as a place for drinking tea and taking a short rest for tourists. As it is on the cliff, it is an ideal place for looking at the scenery of East Sheshan Mountain.
