Chenshan Botanical Garden hosts Canadian delegation

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden greeted a Canadian delegation on May 17 that was comprised of Ginette Marotte, councilor of Montreal City, Lise Cormier, director of Montreal Parks and Woods Bureau, Suzanne Ethier, Quebec Provincial Government representative and Gilles Vincent, director of Montreal Botanical Garden.

The delegation visited the exhibition quarter and inspected the rose quarter, aquatic plant quarter, pit garden, rock official plant quarter, which displayed a greenhouse.

Montreal and Shanghai are sister cities, especially with exchanges in green fields.

Officials from the Montreal and Chenshan botanical gardens reached a preliminary agreement. They would cooperate on the aquatic plant project.

They would conclude and sign a memorandum of cooperation to renew a new chapter of sisterhood relations.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden has been open to the public for two years.
