The best drawings from thousands of children's drawings of Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai were picked out by six experts from Shanghai Young Pioneers Working Commission, Children's Palace and Youth Press Agency on June 20.
Chenshan Botanical Garden has many varieties of plants set amodst beautiful mountains and rivers, such that it is an excellent place for children and teenagers to sketch and paint.
When the competition first started on April 21, thousands of youths actively took part in it. These naive drawings showed the Chenshan Botanical Garden through the children's and teenagers' eyes.
There are so many outstanding drawings that the judging panel decided to increase the number of prize winners. The organizing committee divided the participants into two groups: primary school group and middle school group. The primary school group has 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 15 third prizes and the middle school group has been awarded 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 8 third prizes. The winners list will be published on the Chenshan Botanical Garden's official website.
