Chenshan Botanical Garden and the government of Wujin signed an agreement to jointly construct the Nature Pavilion and the Plants Research Center for the Eighth China Flower Exposition. The signing ceremony was held on July 20 in Wujin district, Changzhou city in east China's Jiangsu province.
The Nature Pavilion is an important part of the main exhibition area of the Eighth China Flower Expo. The expo integrates plant exhibitions and spatial art together. Chenshan Botanical Garden will organize the professional and technical team to provide technology and services for the indoor decoration of the Nature Pavilion.
Chenshan will also jointly build the Plants Research Center with Changzhou in order to develop and popularize new varieties of flowers and trees as well as new technologies in the flower industry.
The China Flower Exposition began in 1987 and is the largest, highest-level and the most popular national event in the flower industry. Often considered the Olympics of China's flower industry, it has been successfully held seven times in the past. Changzhou will host the Eighth China Flower Expo on Sept 28 in 2013 along the waters of Xitai Lake (Gehu Lake).
