This is the first summer camp held by the garden since it was dubbed as a Science Education Base in Shanghai. Its beautiful landscape, thoughtful service and various activities were well-received by students and teachers.

The camp lasted for three days with many exciting activities. On the first day, after an ice-breaking ceremony at the Shanghai Zoo, science teachers gave campers a lecture on various animals, guiding them to observe and explore their mysteries.

The next day, campers visited the animal feeding area. They then visited the Chenshan Botanical Garden after lunch. Though a typhoon unexpectedly hit in the afternoon, the people in the garden promptly adjusted their activity schedule, leaving campers wonderful memories overall.

Campers watched an introduction video of Chenshan Mountain, learning general information about the garden. They then visited Moon Lake for a magnetic fishing competition. The contest was so thrilling that the students lingered around the lake after the event.

Back in the science class, teachers instructed students to make botanical samples and showed them beautiful plant cells under microscope. Afterwards, campers took part in the night tour at the greenhouse.

The greenhouse looked like a crystal adorned by colorful LED lights. A botanical garden guide took the students on a tour of the Tropical Fruit House, Psammophytic Plant House and Rare Plant House inside.

On the third day, typhoon "Hai Kui" struck and all activities were taken indoors. Finally, the summer camp concluded after a series of interactive quizzes and guessing games.
