Two newly-painted bike lanes were established recently on both sides of Shexin Road in the Shanghai Sheshan national scenic spot.

The green-painted lanes on Shexin Road are currently 2.3 kilometers long and roughly 2.5 meters wide. The whole project will be finished within four years, paving roughly 10 kilometers per year. The workers are still expanding the path and marking solid white stripes to separate it from motor vehicles.

The rubberized cycle lane will cover four city-level main highways and one district-level main highway, totaling 10.5 kilometers. A 10.8-kilometer-long bicycle path will be paved at the resort area and another 20-kilometer-lane will be laid in Songjiang district, covering the Linlv Road and Linye Road.

The cycle lanes will lead to the Songjiang College Town since many students are fond of riding bikes. The lanes are fun and make it more convenient for tourists to enjoy the scenery.
