A signing ceremony was held to celebrate a Memorandum of Cooperation between Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden and the United States Longwood Gardens in Chenshan Botanical Garden on Sept 20.
Chen Xiaoya, academician of the Chinese Academy of Science and head of the Shanghai Life and Science Academy, hosted the ceremony. Fan Yufei, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, presented a gift to the representatives of Longwood Gardens at the ceremony. The signing of the memo serves an important role in improving cooperation between the two gardens. It will help with the protection and study of plants and bring more opportunities for exchange and communication.
