Chenshan welcomes intl guests for 'hometown' activity

The opening ceremony of the "Finding Wild Animals in Hometown" activity was held in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. Invited guests of the ceremony were Fang Yan, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Greening Administration; Zhao Jingru, minister of the Shanghai Youth League Teenager Ministry; Gu Yuguang, vice-director of the Shanghai Zoo; and Paul Redman, director of the United States Longwood Botanical Gardens.

Executive Director of Chenshan Botanic Garden Hu Yonghong and the invited guests unveiled the Chenshan logo made from soil from the hometown of 56 different ethnic groups. The ceremony and activities attracted many parents and children.

After the ceremony, Redman and Needham Harbage, a professor from Longwood Gardens, participated in other activities, visited the North American Garden.
