To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-German diplomatic relations, the Shanghai in the Eyes of German Photographers photo exhibition was held in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden on Oct 5.
The exhibition was arranged in the bamboo pavilion named "Germany and China". It was the first time the pavilion hosted foreign artist culture and arts activities since its completion in 2010.
Rohr, the German consul general in Shanghai, famous German photographer Matthias Hagemann, and Fang Yan, deputy director of the Shanghai greening and city image administration, attended the opening ceremony.
At the ceremony, guests enjoyed a Pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing in Suzhou dialect) and sizhu (a traditional Chinese string and woodwind instrument) performance.
