From June to August 2012, Hangzhou-based artist Yuan Yuan participated in the Glenfiddich Artists in Residence Program in Dufftown, Scotland. The exhibition includes all the works created during the residency and some previous works. Yuan has established a Realist style of painting austere and somber architectural interiors, reinterpreting Classical techniques with Modern sensibilities. His work blurs the dichotomy between the real and the imagined, the tactile and the immaterial, and the individual and the collective.

Cui Jian returns
Singer-songwriter, guitarist and trumpeter Cui Jian has been a symbol of China's music scene since the 1980s. Cui and his band will give a concert in Shanghai on Christmas Eve, presenting his best creations from past decades. His The Blue Bone tour will start in Beijing on Dec 15.
