Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is making preparations for the upcoming first Shanghai International Orchid Exhibition. The exhibition will last 25 days from March 29 to April 22.
The orchid exhibition will be held in greenhouses in Chenshan Botanic Garden. Hall A will display orchids from 11 countries such as Britain, Spain and Thailand. Hall B will exhibit 600 potted orchids that will compete for individual awards. Hall C will show orchid settings made by orchid committees. The newly-included Hall D will put award-winning orchids on display and host activities like the ikebana contest and pressed flower art show.
Orchids of various kinds have been sent to Chenshan Botanic Garden, and staff members from different countries have been coming to the botanic garden to decorate their settings for the opening of the exhibition.
