Peonies in Chenshan Botanical Garden are in full bloom recently.
Peony is a wood flower that belongs to the genus Paeonia under the family Paeoniaceae. According to different criteria, peonies can be divided into different categories. Based on the shape of its flowers, peonies can be divided into single form, globular form and anemone form. Based on color, they can be divided into eight color schemes including red, pink, yellow, purple and compound schemes.
Over 30 kinds of peonies have been planted in the garden. Most of the peonies are in bloom. Soon, the blossoming peonies will create a sea of flowers to delight visitors.
