Shanghai Happy Valley holds its yearly Spring Country Festival from April 1 to May 1. The festival features flowers, balloons, a kite-flying performance, an exotic drum show, the ChinaJoy Cosplay contest and interactive games.
All kinds of windmills can be seen in the valley. Exotic Dutch windmills and traditional Chinese windmills were set up to bring back childhood memories of soft spring breezes.
The Balloon Kingdom
The Balloon Kingdom is a world of balloons including a balloon house and the lost world of balloons. The colorful balloons are sure to lead visitors back to their carefree childhood.
Kite-flying performance
From April 4 to 6, Cao Zhilong, a stunt kite master in China, led a troupe made up of other masters from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in an unforgettable stunt kite performance. Exotic drum show
Xianglong drums, Hubei drums, florescent drums, Sahara drums, African aboriginal drums and other world-class drum shows create an audio and visual feast to entertain visitors.
ChinaJoy Cosplay contest
The annual ChinaJoy Cosplay contest grand finals of East China will take place from April 29 to May 1. A great breakthrough has been made in enhancing publicity, total contestants and the quality of entries. Apart from over a dozen short performances by contestants, Lunar, a famous cosmic voice actress group, will deliver a terrific performance for visitors.
Interactive games
Visitors can not only enjoy a paper airplane flying activity, but also take photos of windmills to win prizes. Visitors who uploaded photos of windmills onto weibo and @Shanghai Happy Valley can win two free tickets to the park on May 20.
