Special Shanghai botanical garden is a place for popular science education
The Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai announced recently that the city's Chenshan Botanical Garden has gained special recognition as a special popular science education venue for 2013-2014.
The botanical garden opened in 2011 and was a 'Shanghai Popular Science Education Base' that year, and a 'National Popular Science Education Base' in 2012. It has devoted itself to providing a first-class interactive popular science education system and has held related activities such as onsite classes, summer camps, popular science forums, and Fascination of Plants Day, which promoted popular science among Shanghai's public.
The Chenshan Botanical Garden's main theme is 'Plants and health' so it is very strong on scientific content and awareness and provides a lovely garden landscapes that integrates research, popular science, landscaping, and leisure.
