Sheshan tourist resort prospers in H1
Shanghai Shehan National Tourist Resort organized several activities to improve its brand awareness in the first half of 2013, including a Sheshan climbing event, Lansun cultural festival and spring outing festival.
In the first half, the tourist resort received more than 3 million tourists, up 23.52 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, tourism revenue was 358 million yuan ($58.5 million), or a decline of 5.8 percent year-on-year. As leading scenic spots in the tourist resort, Shanghai Happy Valley and Chenshan Botanical Garden received about 1.75 million tourists, accounting for 34 percent of total visitors to the tourist resort.
