Three officials from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) visited Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden and held discussions on upgrading the garden's science popularization level with the director on August 29.
Dr. Hu Yonghong, director of Chenshan Botanical Garden, welcomed Chen Hongjuan, deputy director of the department of science popularization and publication and the bureau of science communication, CAS; Zhang Wenjun, deputy director of the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Studies, CAS; and Gong Huiling, assistant to the director of the National Science Library, CAS.
Hu briefed visitors about recent developments and expressed the desire for more support and assistance from the CAS to better upgrade the garden's science popularization level.
Chen praised the garden's achievements on event organization and digital botanical garden construction. Chen confirmed that the CAS will work closer with the garden to promote science popularization.
