On September 20, the second day of Mid-Autumn Festival, 20 families took part in the parent-child moon appreciation activity held by Chenshan Botanical Garden. Integrating entertainment and science popularization, the activity received high praise from both parents and children.

The activities started at 2pm that afternoon. The families first watched The Lost Homeland, a short documentary film by Jojo, a young environmentalist director. Next, in the floriculture DIY session, the children had a great experience making their own floriculture works with help from their parents. They also made their own leaf bookmarks and tried to grow their own potted plants.

When night fell, they began a new journey on the shuttle bus. After visiting the greenhouse exhibition, the families finally got a chance to look at the moon. Using a Nexstar professional telescope, even the craters on the moon surface were clearly visible.

Chenshan Botanical Garden will definitely host more themed activities to involve more people in the amazing plant world.
