Aspire Lifestyles, a global brand for concierge services and luxury lifestyle management, launched its China brand in Shanghai on Tuesday.
The Singapore-headquartered company is aiming to offer Chinese customers "an experience that money cannot buy", but of course, it comes with a price tag.
With over 73,000 partners around the world including LVMH, Ritz Carlton, and Wimbledon Championships, the company provides its 60 million members with services regarding luxury shopping, travel planning, overseas study advice and healthcare management.
But more than access to the front row of a Paris fashion show, or a sought-after table at an already packed Michelin-star restaurant, it allows its members to visit backstage, to mingle with designers and chefs.
"We started our business in China in 2005, partnering with the country's largest financial institutions, insurance companies, telecom firms, airlines and others," said Brian Loo, group general manager.
"I believe with the new Aspire brand and premium service capabilities we will better partner with our clients in China to serve their most valuable customers," as he put it.
According to a report released by Professor Merlin Stone of Bristol Business School, the global size of concierge market is valued at $1 billion, and it is expected to double by 2016.
