As 2014 approaches, Happy Valley has launched a public service initiative to hand out a special New Year's gift to migrant workers' families and low-income families in Shanghai with the support of the Shanghai General Union and General Union of Songjiang district, Shanghai.
The initiative includes two parts. First, Happy Valley will donate a 2014 newspaper subscription worth 250,000 yuan ($41,000) in total to the Shanghai General Union and General Union of Songjiang district, Shanghai.
Later, the gift will be distributed to migrant workers' families and low-income families in the city under the arrangement.
Apart from the newspaper donation, Happy Valley will also invite migrant workers' families and low-income families to visit the park for free on December 22. People who are interested in experiencing the Christmas gala can apply from December 4 to 18.
