A flower show to welcome Spring Festival is being held in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. Lasting from January 30 to February 16, the show is designed to provide visitors with a chance to appreciate beautiful flowers, even in the cold winter.
Out-of-season flowers such as tulips and lilies can be found in the greenhouse pavilion of tropical plants. Greeting people at the entrance of the pavilion are paper-cut works shaped like horses. Accompanied by various flowers, the works create a welcoming view and augment the joyous atmosphere of Spring Festival.
The greenhouse pavilion of rare plants mainly stores orchid plants. The pavilion of psammophytes holds a greater surprise for the festival -- all the garden’s award-winning plants.
During Spring Festival, visitors to the garden can also enjoy a fern exhibition on the second floor of the complex building.
