The well-known plant taxonomist, Professor Karol Marhold visited Chenshan again recently at the invitation of Ma Jinshuang, deputy director of Shanghai Chenshan Plant Science Research Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
During the visit, Professor Marhold visited the second Shanghai International Orchid Show in Chenshan Botanical Garden and praised it highly. He also delivered a lecture entitled "Future of botanical monographs, botanical nomenclature and the role of the International Association for Plant Taxonomy" in Chenshan's Plant Science Research Center.
More than 30 people including staff and graduate students of East China Normal University attended the lecture, after which attendees conducted in-depth academic exchanges and discussions with the lecturer.
