The coming three-day holiday in early June includes two festivals - Children's Day and Dragon Boat festival. From May 31 to June 2, Shanghai Happy Valley will launch a "free admission for children with adults" policy, which means an adult with a full-price ticket can bring in a child below 1.5 meters for free, with the aim of encouraging families to enjoy the festival. It features themed performances: a ChinaJoy Cosplay contest, interactive games, 4D cinemas and more.
One highlight is the final of the ChinaJoy Cosplay contest in the East China region. All finalists will compete for a pass to enter the national final, and will bring a visual banquet for animation fans. What is more, Huanhuan, Lele and Xiaogu – three Happy valley mascots – will lead a grand parade of cartoon toys.
Shanghai Happy Valley is home to more than 100 of the world's leading rides. Families are welcome to visit the 4 K High definition "Flying Theater" to experience traveling around China while "flying on a dragon". Families can try out rafting on the 371 m-long canyon to experience cool fun. And don’t forget to watch the 4D original animation "Small Ant Chef" and go to the "Shanghai Bund" to get a taste of the old Shanghai where you can also experience Zhang Ailing's love story or Wong Kar-wai's film In the Mood for Love.
