Shanghai has the conditions to become a global city in 2050, according to experts who attended a seminar on city development.
The seminar organized by the municipal government was to provide information for the city governors who are drafting Shanghai's future development plan with hundreds of researchers. Premier Li Keqiang suggested last month that the plan should use farsighted solutions for problems in the future to tackle today's problems.
