In order to celebrate the upcoming 2015 Shanghai Tourism Festival, four scenic spots at the Sheshan National Tourist Resort will offer half-price tickets for visitors from Sept 12 to 18.
Under the offer, tickets for Chenshan Botanic Garden, Shanghai Happy Valley, Moon Lake Sculpture Park and Sheshan National Forest Park will be 50 percent off.
The botanic garden will provide free rental services and hot water during the festival.
The 2015 Shanghai Tourism Festival will run from Sept 12 to Oct 6. A total of 61 touristic sites in the city will offer discounted tickets during the first week of the festival.
Shanghai Tourism Festival attracts millions of people every year. It highlights the beautiful landscape and cultural and shopping glamor of Shanghai by holding a series of activities featuring sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, sports, exhibition and shopping.
Apart from the discounts for the tourism festival, the Happy Valley has also rolled out a series of special offers for visitors in September. University students can buy a ticket at a price of 120 yuan ($18.9) via the official website or WeChat account during September. Teachers can also enjoy a 50-percent discount on Sept 10, the Teachers' Day.
