East China's first charity project, Shanghai Health and Safety Experiential Center has been inaugurated at Sheshan Youth Camp on Sept 9, informed an official.
The charity project was jointly launched by China Children and Teenagers' Fund and Wrigley Fund. It has been supported by Shanghai Women's Federation.
"The experiential center will serve as an education base to help improve teenagers' health and safety awareness," said Zhu Xisheng, deputy secretary-general of China Children and Teenagers' Fund.
Covering an area of 300 quarter meters, the center is well equipped with modern facilities like multimedia classrooms and interactive experience aids. Important subjects such as food safety and stampede prevention will be covered under the curriculum.
