The Chenshan Botanical Garden at the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort has started its square renovation project on March 7.

The construction work will be divided into two phases starting with the north square. The garden will decorate enclosures, landscape plants and flowers, adjust pavements, build a better drainage system and improve the soil.
The renovation of the south square will begin once the north square is finished in order as to not affect the visitor experience at the botanical garden.
Two touring paths will be added in order to send visitors to Yueji Island, Pit Garden and Children's Park as well as take the sightseeing car.

The square renovation work will take 24 days and is expected to be completed by the end of March.
