The Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort is hosting an activity aimed at getting kids excited about science, themed in "Orchid Seeking Adventure" from April 2 to May 8.
The garden will include six camping sites simulating the landscapes of forests, grasslands, deserts, swamps, mountains and islands. By acquiring ecological ideas, taking part in interactive games and exploring different biotopes, children will be encouraged to get close to and fall in love with the natural world.
The orchid-themed series event is now open for registration. Visitors should search "Orchid Seeking Adventure" upon following the garden's official Wechat account and sign up.
The event will be held every weekend and public holiday. After checking-in at the No.1 Gate hall, visitors will receive an outdoor sports bag with a portable haversack, a compass, a specimen box, a magnifying glass, measuring tools, test paper and event cards to take with them on their exciting nature journey.
