Sheshan is launching its first "Heenoor Cup" hiking challenge on July 16, giving nature lovers the chance to walk among some of the many highlights of the national tourist resort. Proceeds from the event will go towards giving poor children a better education.

Sponsored by household goods company, Heenoor, the 10 kilometer route will pass by Moon Lake Sculpture Park and Sheshan National Forest Park, giving hikers the opportunity to soak-up some of the resorts most popular attractions.

Entrants are encouraged to enter a team of five into the hike, while individual hikers will be able to join teams on the day. The starting point is the Moon Lake Sculpture Park, where teams will be assigned their number tags. After setting off, there will be four different challenges along the way, culminating in the finish at Sheshan National Forest Park.

An award ceremony will be held around 1 pm, followed by a music concert until 3 pm.

The registration fee for teams with less than five people is 158 yuan ($24) / person, and 128 yuan ($19) / person for teams with more than five people.
