To celebrate the upcoming of Shanghai Tourism Festival running from Sept 10 to Oct 6, 60 tourist attractions in Shanghai will launch ticket discounts, including three scenic spots at Sheshan National Tourist Resort.
Tickets for Shanghai Happy Valley will be priced at 115 yuan ($17) from Sept 10 to 14, half the regular price. Shanghai Happy Valley is part of a corporate brand that includes Shenzhen Happy Valley, Beijing Happy Valley and Chengdu Happy Valley. It is a large-scale theme park with beautiful scenery and advanced technology.
Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden has also launched a half price discount from Sept 10 to 16, where visitors will only spend 30 yuan ($5) to get close to nature and enjoy all kinds of botanical plants. The Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai features beautiful landscapes that are integrated with scientific research. It is a window for Shanghai and its local botanical technology and culture.
Visitors can also enter Moon Lake Sculpture Park from Sept 10 to 14 and on Sept 16 for only 60 yuan ($9), a 50 percent discount. The park is the only garden-style tourist and leisure project themed around sculptures in Shanghai. Visitors can expect modern sculpture, architectural art, natural landscape and high-end leisure and entertainment facilities.
Founded in 1990, the Shanghai Tourism Festival has been held for more than 20 years. The grand festival starts from the first Saturday of every September and lasts nearly a month, covering sightseeing, entertainment, leisure, sports, exhibitions, catering and shopping. The event attracts more than 8 million domestic and overseas visitors each year.
