The large-scale multimedia water show "Lake of Illusions" first debuted on July 8, and has since delighted numerous audiences with an audio-visual extravaganza.
Shanghai Happy Valley has recently adjusted its hours of operation to accommodate the final performances of the fabulous, free multimedia water show. The park will operate between the hours of 9:30-19:00 until Dec 8 when "Lake of Illusions" will close for the winter season.
Produced by Happy Valley's parent company, Shanghai OCT Group, and staged above a 30,000 square meter lake, the performance combines water, fire, music, colorful 3-D lasers and fireworks.
The show blends ancient stories and themes with the latest technology to portray traditional Chinese culture in a new light.
The large-scale live water show took two years to prepare and is designed and directed by the French company ECA2, an experienced design company that has previously worked on special events such as the World Cup and Olympic Games ceremonies.
