Sheshan Hill is known for its abundance of bamboo shoots, which are tender, crisp and fresh and emit a special scent similar to that of an orchid. With tender, crisp and fresh taste, the bamboo shoots even won admiration from Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
