Thousands of motorsport lovers flocked to Shanghai's Tianma Circuit on a scorching July afternoon to catch the fast paced action of the 2017 Sinopec China Touring Car Championship (CTCC).
China's leading touring car competition travels around China city by city and began its series on May 14 in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province.
Held in Sheshan, the race is the fourth stage of the nationwide tour and is considered one of the most captivating on account of its abundant natural resources and scenery.
The Super Cup group led off proceedings with Zhang Zhendong from Shanghai Volkswagen 333 Racing taking the race with a sterling display of driving excellence with Jiang Tenyi, his teammate, placing second. Zhu Daiwei from BAIC Senova Racing took third place.
