The annual grassland music festival is to be held as scheduled on May 19 and 20 at Chenshan Botanical Garden. It will offer music fans a spectacular symphony gala.
This year's music festival features two large symphony concerts, themed on "Sound of Rhine" and "Praise of Love", a small-scale percussion performance and an activity for parent-child music learning.
A "Sound of Rhine" concert is to be staged on the first day. One hundred and seventy performers from Germany's top symphony orchestra, the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, and the WDR Radio Choir Cologne with its outstanding conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste will be invited to perform masterpieces of famous German musicians like Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach and Johannes Brahms. Zhang Haochen, a young Chinese pianist, and Yang Tianwa, a talented violinist, will also perform.
Tickets for concert on first day are now available. The tickets are available at 280 yuan ($45.16), 400 yuan ($ 46.51), and 500 yuan ($ 80.64) for two, or 400 yuan ($46.51), 600 yuan ($ 96.77) and 800 yuan ($ 129.03) for three
