A spectacular sea of blue flowers can be seen in early April at Chenshan Botanical Garden in Sheshan. The tiny blue flowers are called Nemophila menziesii but are locally known as baby-blue-eyes due to their vibrant light blue color resembling the eyes of a newborn.

This year’s Chenshan planted 60,000 blue flowers and mixed in 12,000 red, yellow, orange and white Icelandic poppies and 5,000 bright yellow eschscholtzia, forming an intoxicating sea of multi-colored flowers.
