InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, an underground hotel built in an 88-meter-deep abandoned quarry, is doing what it can to help the community amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.
On Feb 17, the hotel prepared 200 servings of pastries and delivered them to medical workers fighting on the frontlines of the novel coronavirus epidemic in Songjiang district.
To minimize the possibility of cross-infection, the hotel requires both staff and guests to have their temperatures taken. Protective supplies, including face masks and instant disinfectants, are available for all visitors free of charge.
Guests who have purchased coupons on the hotel's WeChat account will have their coupons extended for up to five months.
