The peonies at Chenshan Botanical Garden recently entered their flowering period.

Peonies are also called the "Flower of May" and "Dian Chun" in Chinese, which means the end of spring.

The garden boasts a wide array of plants native to East China and is currently home to approximately 10,000 plant species, including some rare and endangered species.

Visitors are required to book tickets ahead of time via the garden's WeChat account (csnbgsh) and are encouraged to take public transportation vehicles considering the limited parking space available.

Shuttle buses are being offered to transport visitors from the Dongjjng Stop of Metro Line 9 to the garden's No 1 gate from 8:00 to 17:30.

At the Dongjing Stop, visitors can take No 19, No 96, No 98 buses to the garden's No1 gate.

At the Shehen Stop of Line 9, visitors can take No 95, No 98 and No 67 to the garden's No 2 gate.
