The 4,400-square-meter outdoor pool and beach at the Sofitel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental Hotel will be open until Oct 8, according to the hotel.
Due to lower demand, it is easier and cheaper to book rooms in September. As a result, guests will be able to enjoy as less crowded pool and beach.
The hotel said that the price for a deluxe room at the hotel is set at 777 yuan ($113.44) per night from Sept 1 to Dec 31, except on Saturdays in September, when the price will be 1,177 yuan per night, and during the National Day holiday, which runs from Oct1 to 8 this year, when the price will be 1,277 yuan per night.
The hotel's deluxe room is spacious and bright and covers an area of 45 square meters, and a total of 368 rooms at the hotel have their own balconies.
People living near the hotel who don't plan to sleep there but want to enjoy its beach, pool, and food can buy a “Sunday brunch” package for 398 yuan per adult and 249 yuan per child, while the outdoor pool and beach cost 300 yuan per person per day.
The hotel also offers buffet dim sum dishes and traditional Cantonese cuisine. The buffet is priced at 108 yuan per person, and children below 1.2 meters will receive a 50 percent discount.
Guests also have the chance to ride a horse under the guidance of a coach at the hotel's equestrian club. It costs 398 yuan per saddle per hour.
