Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort participated in the China International Travel Mart (CITM), which is being held in Shanghai from Nov 16 to 18.
The tourist resort showcased its various scenic spots, recreational facilities, and high-end hotels at the event, including Moon Lake Sculpture Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden, Guangfulin cultural ruins, Shanghai Happy Valley, Tianma international private golf club, and the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.
Founded in 1995, Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort has a planned area of 64.08 square kilometers and is about 30 km from Shanghai's downtown area.
As the only place in Shanghai that has natural mountains and forest, the resort has nine mountain peaks and 12 mountains.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Shanghai Municipal Government, the ongoing CITM is attended by roughly 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions.
The guest countries of honor for the event this year are Myanmar, Malaysia, and Brunei.
The event has set up three pavilions for cultural and tourism resources of provinces and cities in China, culture and tourism companies, and overseas cultures respectively.
The event will demonstrate the achievements made by China in culture and tourism industries in recent years through tourism product promotion meetings, project matchmaking meetings, and forums.
Founded in 1998, the CITM has grown into one of the largest professional tourism exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. The successful organization of the event this year will boost inbound tourism market in China after the COVID-19 pandemic and increase cultural and tourism cooperation between China and other countries.
