Songjiang cultural industries on display at expo in Shanghai

Songjiang district in Shanghai showcased its cultural industries at the third Yangtze River Delta (YRD) International Cultural Industries Expo (iCiE), which was held in Shanghai from Nov 19 to 22.

The district displayed its cultural strength in four aspects: bookstores, paintings, intangible cultural heritages, and film industry.

Brick-and-mortar bookstores in Songjiang promoted their books and cultural and creative products at the expo while the Hongyi Cultural Research and Promotion Center presented paintings by renowned historical and cultural figures born in the district.

Inheritors of intangible cultural heritage items in Songjiang were also invited to demonstrate crafts such as Gu Family embroidery and Shanghai paper cutting.

With an exhibition area of 54,000 square meters, the expo, jointly held by Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors and featured dozens of activities both online and offline this year.
