The EV Electronic Music Festival of Shanghai Happy Valley was recently named one of the 15 most popular events in 2020 based on an online vote by Shanghai residents, according to the local culture and tourism bureau.
The festival, which was held last summer, was part of Shanghai Happy Valley's efforts to attract visitors during the first summer tourist season in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The festival featured electronic music and a host of nighttime entertainment.
Visitors could watch stage performances by DJs and MCs at 14:30, 16:30 and 19:00 every day as well as live shows performed by popular guests at 20:00 every Saturday during the festival.
In addition, four parties themed "fluorescence", "disco", "punk" and "electronic sports" were held during the festival.
Visitors also got the chance to put on fluorescent makeup, dance and interact with cosplayers.
The festival was also suitable for family tours as there was a parent-child music station, a fair, music classes and children's plays during the day.
Shanghai Happy Valley consists of seven differently themed areas and various entertainment facilities.
