The 15th Shanghai Recital Art Festival was recently held in Songjiang district in Shanghai to promote the district as a culture and tourism destination.
A series of cultural activities were held at landmark scenic spots in the district, such as the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, during the festival.
The activities included a forum attended by scholars, poets and recital artists, a song performance of "The Mountaintop" at the West Sheshan Mountain and readings of famous works by recital enthusiasts and artists.
A book containing travel notes for Sheshan written by tourists from across China and local residents as well as cultural personalities was released during the festival to raise awareness about Jiangnan culture, Shanghai-style culture and revolutionary culture.
Creative cultural products featuring original designs that feature Sheshan-related culture were also launched.
