Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is currently holding a flower event to celebrate the Spring Festival. The show will last until Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 15.

The event has three exhibition areas at Chenshan’s Quarry Garden as well as a display greenhouse and a shared space.

Crimson peonies and red weeping plums are intermingled in the Quarry Garden's red landscape.

Landscapes with various colored alpine roses are included in the display greenhouse. The numerous sceneries also display the natural peculiarities of many Chinese regions.

Visitors can observe new peony types as well as peony-themed paintings in the shared space.

Many other flowers that bloom in winter and early spring are also on display during the flower event.

The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden covers an area of 207 hectares, making it the largest botanical garden in East China. It has a collection of more than 15,000 species and varieties of plants from 71 countries and regions, including some rare and endangered species.
