Shanghai Happy Valley reopened on June 3. At 8:40 am, many tourists were already waiting in line at the entrance to enter the park. A welcome performance was also held at the entrance, adding joy to the festive atmosphere. Twenty minutes later, the gate of the park opened, and tourists entered the park after undergoing COVID-19 checks.
Miss Yang who lives in Sheshan town became the first visitor to enter the park that day, and the staff gave her a cute ant doll as a gift. "I was eager to experience the rides, so I waited at the door around 8 am. I didn't expect to be so lucky to be the first to enter the park. I'm so happy!" she said while hugging the doll.
Shanghai Happy Valley implements an online reservation and ticket purchase mechanism and electronic ticket inspection for contactless entry into the park. In order to ensure safety, the park also carries out strict disinfection procedures for customers, rides and commodities.
Until the end of the month, people who want to visit the park can enjoy half-price tickets, and until the end of the year, medical staff can visit the park for free with valid certificates, according to Gao Bei, deputy general manager of Shanghai Happy Valley, who added that since Shanghai Happy Valley had been closed since March 14 for 81 days, the validity of annual cards will be extended according to the number of days the park was closed.
