Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden and Shanghai Happy Valley, two popular attractions in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, recently launched discounted tickets for the 2022 Shanghai Tourism Festival which runs from Sep 17 to Oct 6.
Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden announced that it will halve the price of admission tickets to 30 yuan ($4.24) from Sept 17 to 24.
The garden said that tourists need to reserve the half-price tickets for the festival on its official WeChat account or official website one day in advance before their entry date.
Shanghai Happy Valley announced that it will offer discounted tickets priced at 180 yuan from Sept 17 to 29. The ticket price for middle school and primary school students will be reduced to 130 yuan.
Due to COVID-19 control, online ticket reservations are required. Visitors can enter the park with their ID cards, but the number of daily visitors is capped at 75 percent of the park's maximum capacity.
The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It covers an area of 207 hectares, making it the largest botanical garden in East China. The garden has a collection of more than 15,000 species and varieties of plants from 71 countries and regions, including some rare and endangered species.
The garden is currently open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and the daily visitor limit is capped at 50 percent of the maximum capacity. Gates 1 and 2 are currently open, but Gate 3 is temporarily closed.
Shanghai Happy Valley is one of the largest theme parks with the most advanced technologies, high-quality amusement facilities, and most abundant cultural activities in China.
According to COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control requirements, visitors must undergo body temperature, health code and venue code checks, wear masks, and show a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 72 hours prior to entry. Those with temperatures above 37.3℃, and those who have yellow or red health codes, will be prohibited to enter.
