As the Spring Festival holiday draws near, major scenic spots in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district have prepared various special events and promotions in celebration the Year of the Rabbit to lure holiday tourists.

The Shanghai Happy Valley will hold the Guochao Festival featuring traditional Chinese culture-themed activities for Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations from Jan 22 to Feb 5. Nighttime fireworks shows will be staged from Jan 22 to 26.
Limited preferential tickets for the festival, which include 99 yuan ($14.6) afternoon discounted tickets, 166 yuan discounted tickets per person and 299 yuan discounted tickets for two people are on sale.
People who were born in the Year of the Rabbit can enjoy exclusive discounted tickets at 130 yuan.

The Shanghai Sheshan National Forest Park launched half-price discounts on tickets for the Spring Festival holiday.
From Jan 21 to 27, migrant workers staying in Shanghai can enjoy half-price discounts on full-price tickets at Tianmashan Mountain Park and Xiaokunshan Mountain Park with their non-Shanghai identity certificates (ID cards or residence permits).
