The Shanghai Smurfs Theme Park is China's first Smurfs theme park. It features an immersive indoor design and interactive activities that provide Chinese parents a nostalgic place to revisit their childhood memories and entertain their children.

The Smurfs park is inside Dream City, a larger indoor entertainment park, which was built by real estate developer Shimao Group. It is divided into four areas: a forest maze, the Smurfs Village, Gargamel's House, and an outdoor zone. Visitors are meant to explore the park by following clues and helping Papa Smurf complete his missions.

Visitors must navigate a forest maze to arrive at the Smurfs Village. Visitors can check themselves out at the Smurf Mirror, a digital-interaction screen that merges people's faces with popular Smurf characters, such as Papa Smurf and Smurfette.

In the village children can meet their favorite Smurfs, explore and play in the mushroom houses and go on rides, with the most popular of which being Baker's Jam, a small, self-spinning rollercoaster that mimics the process of how Smurfs make their favorite berry jam.

The villainous Gargamel's House is a thriller. In the cartoon, the evil wizard Gargamel is the Smurfs' arch nemesis and has a cat called Azrael. Visitors explore Gargamel's House, which is a ghost house full of different sounds, lights and special effects, to rescue the captured Smurfs.

The park in suburban Songjiang district is about an hour's drive from downtown Shanghai.
