As Shanghai has ushered in early spring, the Guangfulin Prime Hotel recently rolled out its seasonal specialty food – knife fish wontons.

Wontons, a type of Chinese dumplings, are a staple of Chinese cuisine. The hotel only serves the knife fish wontons in early spring for one month every year. Featuring fresh taste, it is a must-have dish for people who want to take the very first bite of spring.

The Guangfulin Prime Hotel is a garden hotel located in Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park in the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district. Early spring is a great time to explore the hotel's amusement facilities and its surrounding tourist attractions as fewer people travel during the off-peak period.

To attract tourists, the hotel has also launched limited-time discounted packages that can meet people's needs for accommodation, dining, visiting and amusement. They are available until March 31.

The 1,588-yuan ($231.3) package, which had an original price of 2,740 yuan, includes a one-night stay for two people in one of the hotel's high-quality rooms, two buffet breakfasts, two tickets to the Shanghai Guangfulin Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, which is near the hotel, a coupon for two people to experience hanfu, or traditional Chinese clothing, and two vouchers to enjoy a spa at the hotel.

The 1,788-yuan package, originally 2,418 yuan, includes a one-night stay for two people, two buffet breakfasts, a dinner for two, and a coupon for two people to experience hanfu clothing.

The 2,588-yuan family-friendly package, reduced from an original price of 3,846 yuan, includes a one-night stay at the hotel's loft suite, four buffet breakfasts, a ticket to play in the hotel's Children's Paradise, a coupon for handmade experience in the Shuxiang Workshop, and a ticket for two adults and a child to play in the Pet Park.

There are also Chinese-style and Western-style two-person afternoon teas featuring more than 20 refreshments, exquisite tea ware and handmade delicacies on sale.

The Guangfulin Prime Hotel is an award-winning hotel that has been highly recommended in online review platforms. It was honored as a Trip.com Gourmet Golden-medal Restaurant and a Special Recommended Must Eat Restaurant at the 2021-2022 China Feast Restaurant Awards.

The hotel lobby was designed to resemble the former residence of Xia Yan, a prime minister during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The overall design of the 40,000-square-meter hotel integrates elements from Hui-style architecture and Suzhou Gardens with modern aesthetics. It is included in the 2022 Instagram-worthy Design Hotel Rankings released by Chinese travel service provider Trip.com Group.
